The most vivid memory in this industry is recalling the seasons. Every season is remembered from bad, average, great to historic, as they all get a place in the long-term mental data bank.
Every vintage has three seasons -- start, middle and finish. Our 2017 had a mediocre start and middle, but what a fabulous finish it brought us.
2016 as a vintage is the best to date! All essential elements came together to create historic Cuvées. Ideal weather leveraged our perfect dirt and microclimate to produce exceptional grapes.
Michigan Fortified! We used our own and other Michigan grapes to expand 2015 into a new venture for our state: Piccolo Dito!

A late, cool year that had bud bread 1-2 weeks behind average, the summer featured moderate, cooler temperatures that forced us to deal with powdery mildew almost continually.
After a hectic beginning to the season, the 2012 vintage promises to be as exciting as the weather that created it.
