2011 Vintage Notes

The season started off slow with low heat accumulation that delayed bloom for two weeks.

This raised some serious concerns, and in an effort to hasten ripening, we decided to cut our crop load. A dry, warm summer growing season and a beautiful October brought no threat of frost during the harvest season. This means the grapes that were left to ripen were wonderful, and produced some of our best wines.
